Victoria Voss showed off her pet turtle to me. It's great to see a person light up like a Christmas tree when they start talking about their pets. It reminds me of a song by the band, Porno for Pyros, in which the lyrics predict humans would make darling pets for an alien race. I believe there is a lot of truth to that idea. We are often pretty good at not shitting on the carpet and we're easy to satisfy with Starbucks, religious fairy tales, and the National Football league. We will make great pets.
